Metallic coatings
Metallic pigments, black and silver or blue and purple, moving through a clear coat. One seamless surface with depth and movement.
We don't take shortcuts, and you can see it in the floor. A meticulous crew, two coatings, and real photos of the floors we've coated.
Two looks for a garage, and the same coatings for commercial and industrial floors. Pick the one you want, or tell us the room and we'll help you choose.

Color flake broadcast into the base coat, in gray, black or tan. An even, speckled field of color.
Flake and metallic systems for warehouses, workshops, retail and office floors, with the same prep and the same multi-coat build as a garage.
ZAxis Coatings is a floor coating company working in Jacksonville and St. Augustine. We do two things: metallic floors and flake floors. Most of them are garages. Among the floors on this site you'll also see a covered lanai and two commercial bays.
The owner puts it plainly: we have a no-shortcut policy, and we are meticulous. That is the whole promise, and it is the one that matters with a coated floor, because a coating shows everything. The way to judge a crew is to look closely at the floors it has finished: the edge along the wall, the way the color reads from the door to the back wall, whether the surface is one continuous sheet with nothing left behind.
Every photo on this site is a floor we coated. Look at them the way you would look at your own garage. If you want the same thing in your space, call (951) 233-6568 Monday through Saturday, 7am to 4pm, or send the form and tell us about the floor.

Three steps, in plain words. You tell us about the floor, you pick the look, and we prep and coat it.
Call (951) 233-6568 or send the form. Tell us which coating you're thinking about (or pick Not sure), your timeline and your city. A few words about the room help too: a two-car garage, a lanai, a shop bay.
Metallic gives you pigment moving through a clear coat, black and silver or blue and purple. Flake gives you a field of color flake in gray, black or tan. Commercial and industrial floors get the same choice. We'll talk through which look suits the room, and you choose.
Before any coating goes down, the concrete is diamond-ground, moisture-tested and crack-repaired, with HEPA dust control so the house stays clean. Then the system goes on in coats: the base coat, the flake broadcast or the metallic pigments, and a polyaspartic top coat. No shortcuts, meticulous from the first edge to the last, and you get one seamless finished floor.
Both are coatings applied over a concrete floor; the difference is the look. A metallic floor uses pigments (black and silver, or blue and purple) that move through a clear coat, so the surface has depth and movement and the pattern never repeats. A flake floor has color flake broadcast into the base coat, which gives an even, speckled field of color in gray, black or tan. Metallic reads as one dramatic surface; flake reads as a textured, uniform floor.
Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Those are the two areas we work in. The form has a City field, so put yours there and we'll know where the floor is before we talk.
Garages, and commercial and industrial floors: warehouses, workshops, retail and office space. Among the floors on this site you'll also see a basement, a carport, a covered lanai and dark flake floors in two commercial bays. If your floor is something else, describe it on the form or by phone and we'll tell you whether it's something we can take on.
We diamond-grind the slab so the coating bonds to bare concrete, test it for moisture vapor before anything goes down, and repair cracks first. Grinding runs under HEPA dust control, so the dust stays in the vacuum and out of the house. The coating itself goes on in coats, finished with a polyaspartic top coat.
Call (951) 233-6568 or send the form with the service you want, your timeline, your city and a note about the room. We put together a price for your floor from what you tell us. The form button sends your project details straight to us, and we work Monday through Saturday, 7am to 4pm.
